Dr. Werner Boehm was a citizen of Germany until 1937 when he came to USA and received the citizenship in 1944. He did his LLB in 1936 from the University of Dijon and his MSW from Tulane University in 1941. He is a social work educator who spent his life in development works in Canada and curriculum development in USA. He also spent a part of his life teaching at the Graduate school of social work at Rutgers University from 1963 to 1972 and the University of Minnesota from 1958 to 1963.

He spent most of his life earning a lot of respect because of the social works that he did. He served as a practitioner, academic administrator and a scholar. He spent almost half of his life in leading social work activities for which he earned a lot of respect. He conducted a study on the Social work curriculum development for the council on social work education from 1955 to 1960. He founded many important things that served mankind for a millennium. He published more than one hundred papers on many important topics for mankind. He is also an author of many books and monographs. He was also appointed as the editor of the Journal of International Social work and the Harper and Row social work series. Werner Boehm served as a consultant of the United Nations in the USA, Europe and South America.
Werner Boehm received awards like the Fulbright award(1969), the Rutgers medal (1983), the national association of Social work’s social worker of the year (1983), a doctorate from the Tulane University School of the social work (1992), and the lifetime achievement award from the Council of social work Education (1995).
Werner Boehmhas spent a lot of his life in social activities but has also been on the headlines quite a few times for his controversial activities. He was serving as the CEO of Block chain payment service, Bit rush. He was defamed when he was caught on involvement in unlawful tactics to cheat his shareholders. On December 7, 2016, a special investigation agency was appointed to investigate the matter. The board took immediate actions against him and terminated him from the post of chief executive officer of the Block chain payment service. He faced their wrath because of his activities of posting things that are undesirable on the company website. These cases continued against him and the allegations further increased to him having cheated his company shareholders. The case continued in the court for quite some time where both the prosecutor and the defence stated their claims, trying to prove them right. But finally on November 14, 2017, the court found Werner Boehmguilty and accused him of cheating his British fiduciary duties. The court directed him to repay the required amount to his counterparts and that was the way the case ended. However, apart from this case, the things that he has done for humanity cannot be ignored.
